The U.S. Army’s M250 light machine gun replaces the M249 SAW, enhancing firepower and range with the new 6.8mm round, designed to penetrate next-gen body armor. Weighing just 13 pounds, the M250 is significantly lighter than its predecessor, offers ambidextrous controls, and boasts an advanced suppressor system for reduced muzzle flash and sound.

The Next Generation Squad Weapon-Rifle (NGSW-R) is a U.S. military project aimed at developing a new standard-issue rifle for the U.S. Army and potentially other branches of the military. The NGSW-R program began in the late 2010s to replace the current M4 carbine and M16 rifle platforms used by U.S. soldiers.

M250s are stored double-tiered inside full-height Combat Weapon Racks. They can be stored in single tier stackable weapon racks and also be stored in a mid-tier height weapon rack.
