This page lists before and after pictures and case studies where Combat Weapon Storage has replaced competitive systems from arms rooms in both law enforcement and military settings.
There are many reasons to replace an existing system; failed physical security inspection, fire code violation, illegal access aisles, increasing storage capacity, existing racks take up too much floor space, better armory workflow, old weapon racks that do not fully enclose optics and poor installations that cause system issues.
When these reasons confront armorers with having to replace an existing weapon storage system, we offer solutions to maximize storage and workflow in your armory.
Armory Workflow
Every armory is a unique space with varying dimensions, number of doorways and issue windows, weapon and gear storage density and of course mission needs. Meeting mission requirements to properly store all weapons and gear and improve upon the workflow is paramount to having an effective armory.
Designing an armory begins with a site survey to assess the available space. Measuring the arms room, we capture the H x W X D including IDS locations, issue windows, pipes, vents, power outlets, HVAC, fire alarms, fire sprinklers, etc.
Once the usable space is defined, the armory is drawn in AutoCAD. Reviewing the MTOE or weapon density list, we are able to determine exactly how many weapon racks are needed to store the weapons and gear. The system designer is then able to define the necessary quantities of weapon racks.
COMBAT WEAPON STORAGE SYSTEMS – BEFORE & AFTER
The replacement of legacy Space Saver weapon racks in arms rooms across the military includes both free-standing and mobile weapon rack systems.
For this project we utilized full height Combat Weapon Racks featuring reverse bi-fold doors on mobile carriages with two tiers of storage primarily for Security Forces duty M4s and M9s including full width adjustable storage shelves to store asps, OC spray and any detached optics or M203s. The balance of the weapon racks stored M16s, Shotguns, M240s, M249s, Tasers & ammo storage.

Replacing legacy Dasco weapon racks in arms rooms across the military includes both free-standing and mobile weapon rack systems.
For this project we utilized mid-tier height Combat Weapon Racks featuring reverse bi-fold doors on custom mobile carriages with two tiers of storage primarily for Security Forces duty M4s and M9s including full width adjustable storage shelves to store asps, OC spray and any detached optics or M203s. The balance of the weapon racks stored M16s, Shotguns, M240s, M249s, Honor Guard M14s, Tasers & ammo storage. Storage shelving was also supplied for secure storage and for radio charging banks.

In 2016 we were called out to Travis AFB to perform a site survey for an armory. The armory had an existing failing electric mobile carriage system that needed to be replaced as the service calls and parts for the system was costing the unit exorbitant amounts of money in maintenance upkeep. Besides having height clearance issues, there were performance issues with only one access aisle for almost 1000 total weapons, difficult to roll carriages that dragged on the track and cumbersome bi-fold doors obstructing the aisles and requiring constant opening and closing to move carriages, slowing down the armory operation substantially.
Combat Weapon Storage replaced the existing system with a wall to wall mobile storage system including storage shelving to keep gear off the floor, allowing for multiple access aisles for armorers to increase workflow.
