M249 Weapon Storage Rack

M249 Weapon Storage Rack – M249s are 5.56 mm light machine guns. M249s are typically stored with spare barrels, which can be stored with the weapon in a spare barrel bag hung on a hook or hung directly on the hook or peg. M249s are stored double spaced inside Combat Weapon Racks to allow for the spacing of the bi-pod attached to the weapon.

M249 SAWs, or Squad Assault Weapon has been in service since the 1980s. The United States Marine Corps is fielding the M249 Infantry Automatic Rifle to partially replace the M249 in Marine Corps service.

The M249 SAW is the most common variant of M249s stored in Combat Weapon Racks with some units fielding M249 PIP, M249 Paras and MK46 by NAVSPECWAR.

Our fully welded M249 Weapon Storage Rack cabinets meet & exceed  US DOD physical security regulations including AR 190-11, OPNAVINST 5530.13C, DOD 5100.76-M & MCO 5530.14A for arms storage requirements and stowage of small arms & are also TACOM certified with assigned National Stock Numbers and on our GSA Schedule GS-07F-0661W.
